Ulster is the on-air name used by TiBB1 in Northern Ireland.

HistoryEdit

Ulster was formed on 3 January 2017 as the on-screen brand for the broadcast region of Northern Ireland decided to create its own on-air region. The region name is named after the former name of UTV, the ITV franchise in Northern Ireland. In some on-air continuity announcements, the region is sometimes called TiBB1 NI (pronounced Northern Ireland).

StudiosEdit

Ulster is based in Belfast whilst its control room operations are shared between itself and LDN, Ulster's sister region in the United Kingdom.

IdentityEdit

The services' on-air identity is a mixture of the national and regional TiBB1 idents.

However, the endboard shown in the region is the national endboard, without any captions.

ProductionsEdit

The Point itself co-produces LIVEWIRE, the TiBB Eurovision and Christmasvision Song Contests, and the TiBB Podcast. It produces regional news and weather from its studios in Belfast.
